Creativity against stress

Workshop: Creativity, the Nervous System, and Inner Calmness

When we experience stress—racing heart, sweaty palms, restlessness, and racing thoughts—the body’s alarm system is activated. But when we immerse ourselves in creative processes such as painting, sculpting, drawing, or hands-on creation, something entirely different happens in the brain and body. Creative immersion can dampen the stress response, create calm, and enhance presence and mental clarity.

This workshop explores both the biological explanation and practical experience: What happens in the nervous system during stress—and why can creative work help regulate it, improve well-being, and foster inner stability? Participants gain both understanding and hands-on experience of how creativity can be a powerful tool in everyday life.

Target Audience: Employee groups—or anyone interested in understanding and experiencing the effects of creative immersion on well-being, while also learning what it does to the body’s biology.
