Description
How can we reduce stress? This lecture examines six common assumptions about stress, exploring whether they hold true – and why or why not:
Stress is “just something we experience” – purely psychological
The goal is to become “stress-free”
The solution is to stop paying so much attention
Stress is an alarm signal
Stress can be managed through structural measures
Communities are the solution to the mental health crisis
The lecture is based on the article “Six Classic Misconceptions About Stress and Stress Symptoms” (Politiken, September 2024), authored by Berit Hessing/FI Huset and Karen Johanne Pallesen/Synergia.dk.
